Afton Water flows gently through New Cumnock in Ayrshire in Scotland and because of the connection with Scotland%26#39;s bard, Robert Burns, where better than there to come up with the idea of having SCOTTISH BARD-B-Q%26#39;s starting the Homecoming Scotland year of events?

Pass the idea on, so that every back garden, beer garden and beech will have their own wee tourist event.

I thought that this event would be a draw to tourists and locals alike.

I used the internet as much as I could because there is no time to spare. A month left until the kick off of Homecoming Scotland 2009 and very little happening on the 25th January so if anyone has a better idea, let%26#39;s hear it. Anyone can have a Scottish-BBQ, you don%26#39;t even have to be in Scotland, just light up at 2:50pm on 25:01:09.

There%26#39;s no set menu, so experiment.

The Scottish Government is expecting thousands of people to come home to Scotland.
