we decided at the last minute to go to the ncaa big 12 basketball tournament march 11-14. big mistake. everything is booked that is close to the ford center.
i noticed that there is a trolley, on the orange line, that stops in front of the ford center. can anyone tell me any hotels that are on the orange trolley line? i did figure out that the embassy suites and the two hotels near it (wingate and hampton, i think) are on the line, but they are already booked.
if anyone has any ideas on available rooms close to the ford center or on the orange trolley line, please help!

The best I can offer is to look for Hotels in Oklahoma City on Tripadvisor and find the hotels on a map:
tripadvisor.com/LocalMaps-g51560-Oklahoma_Ci…
Then look in the I-40 and Meridian area for hotels there are many in that area and all are within a reasonable walk of the trolley stops.
Once you find one, check the availability and the rating on TA.
If the hotels there are full, the other option is to stay away from the downtown area and take a cab to and from the games. Once downtown you won%26#39;t have to worry about having to leave until you wanted to head back to the hotel.
Here are the trolley routes and times.

I highly recommend the Hyatt Place (#4 in OKC)

Also try these:

Those are all right along the Orange Line.
About the hotels - All are good suggestions and all but the Garden Inn have rooms available for 3/11 through 3/14. I didn%26#39;t list anyhotels because I was sort of hoping for a budget idea. :)
That said:
The Embassy Suites will run about $200/night with tax.
The Hyatt will run about $160/night with tax.
One more good option - the Holiday Inn Express at 2101 S Meridian. Rooms are avaiable for $135-$160/night for 3/11 through 3/14:
tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g51560-d101868-…
It%26#39;s within the three blocks of the stop at the Embassy Suites.
There are other hotels in the area, none as nice as the ones mentioned.
I did a quick check and the Hilton/Skirvin hotel - which is downtown and within easy walking distance of the Ford Center - has rooms available for 3/11 through 3/14. Price? $299/night
Good luck!
