We live in Wichita, KS, and our family of 4 (kids ages 14 and 7, parents mid-30s) are looking to get away for an upcoming 4 day weekend. I%26#39;ve explored many options and think we might try to explore some areas of OK that we haven%26#39;t been.
We are pretty familiar with OKC since my best friend lives there and we%26#39;ve been on canoe/camping trips in parts of OK. We haven%26#39;t spent any time in the Tulsa area.
It seems that Woolaroc would be something we could visit. What else could we combine with a visit to that area? Suggested places to stay? I%26#39;ve done some research but wondered if locals could also provide some information.
Thanks in advance.
Long weekend in OK - Woolaroc and what else?
If you%26#39;re going to visit Woolaroc, you should probably check out the only Frank Lloyd Wright designed ';sky-scraper'; built - the Price Tower.

While in Bartlesville, OK, I heartily recommend eating at either Dink%26#39;s BBQ (I%26#39;ve never had a bad meal there, but watch your step=) ), Murphy%26#39;s Steakhouse (delicious %26#39;hot open-faced cheeseburger with fresh cut french fried potatoes with savory brown gravy over it all) or the Szechuan Chinese Restaurant (I enjoy their spiciest offerings)
. . . or all three if you can possibly manage it.
I%26#39;d avoid most other area restaurants.
Tulsa is an entirely different subject. Possible areas to visit are ORU for the architecturally inclined (though the univeristy was falling into disrepair the last time I saw it, it%26#39;s still pretty interesting) and downtown Tulsa%26#39;s art-deco office buildings and surprisingly extensive tunnel system between many downtown landmarks.
Philbrook and Gilcrease museums are both must-see.
The best Tulsa cuisine includes Jim%26#39;s Never on a Sunday Greek Food and Coneys (21st and Harvard)(the Suvlaki rocks and get a couple of coneys as appetizers) and Ri Le (91st and Yale) a Vietnamese restaurant where I have never had a bad meal in 20 years of dining - recommend the Deluxe Bun Chao Ghio and the Special Coffee. Outstanding, fresh, fantastic food. Nice atmosphere and service.

Yes you deffinately have to see the Frank Lloyd Wright building! My family and I also went to the Keepsake Candle factory in Bartlesville. The girls really enjoyed it.
