Hi,

We will be coming to Beaver Bend area during Spring Break in a couple weeks. Can anyone suggest hiking trails with good scenery? 1-3 miles with climbing will be fine. Is there a good biking trail as well?

Where should we go for canoeing and kayaking?

We%26#39;ll be driving up from Plano,TX. Where will be the grocery store on the way there?

There are many hiking trails in Beavers Bend State Park and the very close surrounding areas. There is a ton of information online. I would suggest stopping in at the Nature Center or Forest Heritage center to get a brochure. There are many canoe outfitters in this area also. The water will be cold this time of the year and the weather can range from the mid 80%26#39;s to the mid 30%26#39;s. It is just according to what days you are here and if there are any weather fronts passing through. I would recommend calling Ambush Adventures at 580-584-2273, WW Trading Post %26amp; Canoe at 580-584-6856, or Wild Goose Canoe %26amp; Kayak Rental at 580-584-2277. The weather is going to be mid60 for the highs next week. I wonder if it is cold to canoe???
