Hi! My boyfriend and I are planning to be in Tulsa in the month of June. What%26#39;s to do in Tulsa for a couple that is trying to get away for a weekend? We are also on a budget and would like to plan accordingly. Please help!
Going to be in Tulsa for a weekend/romantic getaway
Try walking through %26amp; window shopping in either the Brookside area, on Peoria mainly between 35th %26amp; 41st, or the Cherry Street area, on 15th Street between Peoria %26amp; Utica. Both have lots of cute little shops, some expensive %26amp; some not, and lots of cool bars %26amp; restaurants of all price ranges.
For more romance, wander through the Tulsa Rose Garden and adjacent Woodward Park, Peoria between 21st %26amp; 22nd Ave.--maybe take a picnic there!
In the evening, take a stroll across the railroad bridge (now a walking path) at 30th %26amp; Riverside--great view of downtown from the Westernmost parts of the bridge.
Tulsa also has free bicycles to use (takes a credit card to get them loose--no charge if you return the bike) @ 20th %26amp; Riverside, if a little casual bike ride in the river parks area sounds like fun. About every 1/2 mile to mile there is large, a nature-oriented sculpture of some sort--so you can spot some wildlife too!
