Hello!
I%26#39;m headed to Oklahoma City in a couple weeks to visit a friend. Probably not the best time to go weather-wise, but that%26#39;s the way it worked out :)
Aside from Bricktown, are there any ';not-to-miss'; things we need to do? Things that are do-able in February?
Thanks!
Michelle
Oklahoma City in February - what to do?
Here is a recent thread asking some of the same questions. Check out the links in the replies for some good ideas of what%26#39;s available. We can answer more specific questions if you have any.
:)
One of the things not in the list will be very dependent on how you feel about casinos. There are several within a short drive of OKC and then there is the Remington Park ';Racino'; - which combines a horse racing track with a casino. http://www.remingtonpark.com/
There are no scheduled race days for Feb, but there are always simulcast races and the casino.
Very close to Remington is the OKC Zoo
http://www.okczoo.com/
- and there may be nice enough weather to visit there - and the Science Museum http://www.sciencemuseumok.org/.
And there is also the National Softball Hall of Fame, the 45th Infantry Museum, and other museums available.
Once again - it will depend on how you feel about zoos and museums. :)
And finally, here is a link to the attractions in the OKC area.

What is not to be missed will really depend a lot on your core interests. Overall, the only ';Don%26#39;t Miss'; attraction almost everyone is interested in is the Murrah Bombing National Memorial. But there is plenty to do here.
Welcome to our fair city! I hope you enjoy your stay.
Oklahoma City in February - what to do?
Sorry - somehow I missed adding the link I mentioned to my post. Here it is now:

Here is my ';must list'; for OKC.
tripadvisor.com/GoListDetail-i16426-The_OKC_…
I know the Memorial museum is temporarily closed while they repair damage from a busted water pipe, so if you want to visit, you might check to see if they have reopened yet.
If you have any other specific interests, we might be able to point you in the right direction.
In addition to the above excellent information, may I add several more ideas?
Feb. 13-14: The Oklahoma City Ballet presents ';Paris Rouge'; at the Civic Center Music Hall. 405.848 TOES for tickets. www.okcballet.com
Feb.24-25: ';Lord of the Dance,'; also at the Civic Center. 800.869.1451. www.CelebrityAttractions.com
Feb. 5-21: at the Lyric at the Plaza: “The Who’s Tommy.” 405.524.9312.
Have a great time in Oklahoma!
Great suggestions sofibella!
Tommy especially should be good and this particular ballet is an original piece by OKC Ballet%26#39;s new artistic director. He premiered it w/ Denver Ballet recently to rave reviews.
Thanks to everyone who responded! I%26#39;d like to post the same question for Tulsa, as we might spend a day there.
Suggestions?
Thanks
Michelle
