On and Off tours

We are planning on being in Oklahoma City for two nights with just one full day to look around. Are there any on and off tours that go to the various places of interest like some cities have? I saw some trolley thing (I think it was called Spirit) but not sure how it works. Any help would be appreciated.

This would be around the middle of March - do you think the weather will be fairly comfortable?

Thank you.

On and Off tours

Weather should be very comfortable. Might need a light jacket at night.

There aren%26#39;t really any bus tour type operations in Oklahoma City. I don%26#39;t think we are quite to that level of tourist traffic. The closest things are the Bricktown Water Taxi, the Oklahoma Spirit Trolley (which you mentioned), and the Oklahoma River Cruises.

The Water Taxi is the only one that is actually going to have a tour guide telling you about the city. If you%26#39;ve been to San Antonio, it%26#39;s similar to their Riverwalk boats. The boats will loop through the Bricktown entertainment district and the guide will tell you about the explosive growth of that area, the history, and the attractions.

The trolley isn%26#39;t a tour per se, but is a great way to get around to many of the points of interest, including Bricktown, the Memorial, the Museum of Art, the Myriad Botanical Gardens, the State capitol, and Stockyards City.

The River Cruises are the newest of the three and they are small boats that run up the Oklahoma River from Regatta Park (near Bricktown) to the Meridian Corridor, a restaurant row and hotel strip near the airport. There isn%26#39;t a whole lot to see on this tour YET, as the river is just now seeing redevelopment. But being in a boat cruising down the river can be kind of fun, especially if you have kids. A one way trip takes about 45 minutes.

I recommend staying at a downtown or Bricktown hotel, that way you are just steps from any of these three options and less than 10-15 minutes from other attractions like the National Cowboy %26amp; Western Heritage Museum, Science Museum Oklahoma, the Zoo, and Frontier City Theme Park.
