Will be driving through Oklahoma City and need a good hotel south of the city along Hwy 35 with an indoor pool so the kids can burn off some energy. Could be an hour or two from Okla City. Looking in the $70.00-$90.00 range
Thanks for any help.
Need Hotel Help

The only caveat is the Sooner Legends Hotel will be closing very soon, if it hasn%26#39;t already closed.
Need Hotel Help
Thanks for the help, but is there anything else? I like options.
There smaller towns all along I-35 between OKC and the Texas border. I%26#39;m not familiar with any of them, so I can%26#39;t make any recommendations. I know there is a new Microtel Hotel at the Winstar Indian Casino just before the Texas border.
You could also check for hotels in Pauls Valley, Ardmore and Purcell.
Maybe someone else can make a more specific suggestion.
:)
After Norman, heading south, you%26#39;re not going to find much until Pauls Valley (about 40 miles), which has a couple of chain places but not much else, and then Ardmore (another 45) which is bigger and has more options, and then Denton, TX (another 75) which is bigger still with even more services.
As for recommending a place with a pool, sorry; I don%26#39;t usually stay in any of those towns.
Thanks for the replies. I had been looking around at the varous towns south of Okla City and they all seem to have outside pools, which I imagine would be closed. I would really like a place with an indoor pool. Maybe I am better off in the metro area, but our final stop is San Antonio and would love to get past Okla City.
To find a hotel with an indoor pool south of OKC, you will probably have to continue on to a town closer to Dallas or Fort Worth - about another 3 to 3.5 hour drive.
And unless you want to stop in Dallas, take the I-35 West turnoff through Ft. Worth - it%26#39;s shorter and usually has slightly less traffic than I-35 East through Dallas.
Good luck!
Sooner Legends isn%26#39;t closing. They are on the corner of I-35 and Lindsey street in Norman, OK and have been open about 2-3 years. It%26#39;s a great place to stay and very affordable. Their beds are comfy and they have a delicious restaurant on site. I think the Sooner Hotel on OU%26#39;s campus closed about a year or so ago. Maybe this was the reference intended. Hope this clears up the mistake.
Thanks for the update. Around the time I made that original post I had read a story about Sooner Legends getting ready to close. I either misunderstood or they found a way to keep it going. It%26#39;s also possible it was some different %26#39;Sooner Legends%26#39; and not the hotel.
Sorry for any misunderstanding.
