I am I need of a budget (but CLEAN) hotel located within walking distance of the airport. I don%26#39;t mind walking a little while but I will have my luggage with me so I am hoping to stay at least somewhat close. Thank you!

The only hotel that is WALKABLE from the airport is the Four Points by Sheraton, and I don%26#39;t know if you consider that budget.
Like many airports, ours is not really in a pedestrian area and is actually even more ';rural'; than most. The majority of the airport hotels are actually a couple miles north of the airport itself.

jbrown is correct about the Four Points not being budget at about $125 per weekday night and $95 per weekend. But it has a free shuttle to the terminal.
You could also check the hotels on S. Meridian Ave in the I-40 area. There are some inexpensive hotels in that area and some hotels have shuttle service to the Airport - it should be easy to check which ones.
