My husband and I are travelling to Oklahoma City on March 17 an 18. We%26#39;re hoping to get a chance to hear some live music, especially blues. Any suggestions?
Live blues March 17,18
Here is a list of clubs that offer Blues Music. http://www.mary4music.com/ClubsOK.html
Keep an eye on Matt Kemp%26#39;s Blog for current information.

He has a good list of where and when the music will be.
The Biting Sow is supposed to have live music every night - no idea if they are still doing that or not. You might give them a call (no website.)
They are in Bricktown at:
1 E California Ave
Oklahoma City, OK 73104

The Biting Sow is your best bet.
You also will want to pick up an Oklahoma Gazette when you are here. it%26#39;s a free weekly available in most restaurants and other locations. It has great A%26amp;E coverage including where to catch live music.
Apprecitate the help Jbrown 84 and Modcon. Have looked at the sites suggested and we%26#39;ll try to see a few bands. I%26#39;ll report back at the end of our trip (we%26#39;ve been on the road for 7 weeks).
Thanks
You%26#39;re welcome.
If you have any more questions I%26#39;m sure one of us can help.
:)
Thanks again Modcon and Jbrown 84. We ended up only being in OK for the 17th as our plans changed. We had a blast. We did a little sightseeing then went to Bricktown. Not sure if either of you were in the area on St. Paddy%26#39;s Day but there was a stage set up with beer tents etc. We ate at the Brewery then watched a bit at the beer tent. Finished off at the Biting Sow where it was open mic night. Loved the whole area. Reminded us of San Antonio%26#39;s Riverwalk. We hope to return again next year on our way home from Arizona.
Glad you had a good time. Let us know if there is anything we can do for future visits!
Glad you had a good time!
